A FOUR-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME


The Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) is designed to attract the best and brightest students and prepare them to act as graduate professionals in the various fields of engineering. They will be offered a strong programme that combines advanced technical expertise, personal development, multicultural skills and industrial experience.

The programme combines advanced technical expertise, personal development, multicultural skills and industrial experience over eight semesters (four academic
years). In a spirit of innovative exploration, entrepreneurship and practical application, Centrale Nantes inculcates a broad understanding of fundamental principles common to all engineering disciplines. The programme is a perfect mix of theoretical training and hands-on experience, provided in the form of lectures, tutorials, practical work, industrial projects, conferences, seminars, internships, visits to companies, etc.

Soft Skills


A key aspect of Centrale Nantes education is the development of soft skills. They will enable you to navigate smoothly and effectively through numerous social and professional situations with a wide variety of people. Such skills include communication, adaptability, creativity, leadership, and team work. Personal development programs, sporting activities and team-based projects will help you understand group dynamics and develop leadership skills that are highly valued by employers in industry.

Multicultural Skills


Centrale Nantes offers multicultural and linguistic development skills. Classes are taught in English, with the support of language courses in French and in English. Moreover, the programme will welcome students from all over the world, and international professionals will participate in the teaching. Over 40% of students on campus are international students. You'll be truly empowered with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Industrial experience


As we strongly believe that internships prepare for professional practice, the program includes two periods of mandatory internships - four weeks at the end of the first year and six-months at the completion of your final year. Internships give you on-the-job experience before you graduate, enabling you to assimilate classroom learning with genuine industry work. Internships help you learn whether you are a good match for that industry and can provide you with valuable connections and references.
