Admission Criteria

Admission to the Bachelor's programme is highly competitive and is designed for high-potential applicants with the motivation and capacity to follow a demanding curriculum.   Applicants must meet Centrale Nantes entrance requirements, which means a very solid scientific background. To apply for entry, you must:

  • Hold an (upper) secondary school leaving examination or comparable qualification.
  • Or be enrolled in the final year of secondary education, which must be completed before the start of the Bachelor's programme.
  • Meet the specific English proficiency admission requirements. An official test result e.g. TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS, (less than two years old) is required. Except for native speakers or students who completed their high school curriculum in English.

How to apply?

Admission may also depend on specific requirements such as a particular subject combination in secondary school or a certain level of grades in Mathematics & Physics.

Applications must be submitted online to: and include the following supporting documents:

  • Completed application form
  • A statement of purpose
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Copy of passport or ID Card
  • English proficiency (proof/test certificate)
  • Copies of transcripts documenting your grades for your upper secondary education.
  • Copy of (upper) secondary school diploma if already obtained

When to apply?

  • Applications are open all year around until 30 June for the next intake
  • Limited  places are available, early applications are encouraged.
